Peer Review Process
At Pi International Journal of Mathematical Sciences, we follow a double-blind peer review process to ensure objectivity, fairness, and academic integrity. Both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous to each other throughout the review process.
Step-by-Step Process:
- Manuscript Submission
- Authors submit their manuscript via the journal’s online submission system.
- The manuscript must adhere to journal formatting and ethical standards.
- Initial Editorial Screening
- The Editor-in-Chief or Handling Editor screens the submission for:
- Relevance to the journal's scope.
- Plagiarism check.
- Language quality and basic formatting.
- Manuscripts failing to meet the basic criteria are desk rejected.
- Assignment to Associate Editor
- If the manuscript passes the initial screening, it is assigned to an Associate Editor with relevant expertise.
- Reviewer Selection
- The Associate Editor selects 2 to 3 independent reviewers, ensuring:
- No conflict of interest.
- Subject matter expertise.
- Review invitations are sent.
- Peer Review
- Reviewers evaluate the manuscript for:
- Originality
- Mathematical rigor
- Clarity and significance
- References and context
- Reviewers submit recommendations:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
- Editorial Decision
- The Associate Editor reviews all comments and makes a recommendation to the Editor-in-Chief.
- The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision and communicates it to the authors.
- Revision by Authors (if applicable)
- Authors revise the manuscript according to reviewer comments.
- A rebuttal letter may be required.
- Re-review (if necessary)
- Revised manuscripts may be sent back to original reviewers for further evaluation.
- Final Decision
- The Editor-in-Chief makes a final decision based on reviewer feedback and revised manuscript quality.
- Copyediting and Publication
- Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, typesetting, and proofing before being published online and/or in print.
